HeHe,

I WISH !

I'm running a 30km GPS survey in the middle if a crop paddock 400km from civilisation - I'm on my PDA and get signal on the top of each hill !

I'll be home tomorrow - I'll try and take some nice pics when the other one arrives.

:)

I'm back from my trip away - Just gave it a really good workout.

Bloody Hell.

This thing is a tone monster.

Not a trace of mud, and the note definition is superb - but still PLENTY of grunt when needed.

Just feeling the whole body resonate with each chord is an indication there's something very special going on here - It's like none of my other guitars.

The sustain kills the BFR JP6.

I think there's something to be said for having a hardtail to bring out the best in the tone block.

Can't wait for the other one to arrive to compare the solid vs vintage saddles.

Me thinks the other axes are going to get a bit dusty

.

Bugger the Aussie Dollar, paid about 15% more than I would have a month ago !
Still a steal though - worked an amazing deal on it.

Nice one Dizz...

Coming from one who knows, what you'll be wanting next is one with a maple fretboard... Trust me... That one is worth the hunt!:D

I finally got hold of a certain maple board 20th Silhouette this afternoon, as a matter of fact. The universe is one tiny step closer to being in balance.

Maple, trem, uuuuhhhh :)

Yep. Lionel, I even know the place that sells one, but the price is more than tough - I 'd have to pay as much as I 've paid for both of mine.

But still, are those 20-ths the GREATEST instruments out there or what ?!?!?!

Honestly, one cannot pass judgement on the 20th without trying both the RW and the maples. They're really quite different in feel, and in tone. I was blown away by how tight the maple one sounds compared to the RWs.

Yes yes, I know that's common knowledge, but being able to hear it so disctinctly for the very first time is amazing. I believe the bigger disparity is brought on by the combination of tonewoods in both...

With Poppa's blessing, Glenn. It will have a good, permanent home with my family.

I'm not real clear Diz,
Does this make you a member of the 2, 20th's club?

I would still like to find a non premium quilt maple trem (no piezo, don't care about matching headstock) 20th.
