rex and you trading ? Imagine that!

It was a four banger or else I'd probably have been involved at some point.

Of course, I have its big brother, the fiver, and can tell you that it looks pretty good with abalone, too:

Whoa, great grab, the white pearl completes the work. I am itching to try one of these single H's, quite a rare bird up where I am.
Congrats

I plugged it into my MB CMD-121P for a couple of minutes last night, and man! Sounds great! Couldn't really open it up, as the kids were already asleep, but I will be doing that tonight, I do believe.

Appears to have the stock strings on it, so I'll need to put some EB Group II flats on it and toss some strap locks on. But I'll toodle around on them thar zingy roundwounds for a while first.

I've put the serial in the appropriate thread, so I'll know soon enough its DOB and original destination. It came in one of the newer cases with the 'Bongo' sticker on the side (not sure when those were introduced). Aside from a few light pick marks (?) on the guard and a couple very light scratches on the serial plate, it's immaculate. I don't know if it's even been played very much. But it will be by me, that's for shore.

I was just about to post that CR has been dropped in favor of Cabernet, but I decided to double-check on the MM website. To my surprise a lot of the new-for-09 colors don't seem to be there. No orange firemist, no true gold, no ice blue, no cabernet... at least not on the Bongo.

Candy Red is, though, and yes, it is a great color.

Hey Bongoloids,

Is there such a thing as a Bongo-centric website?

ie: a website similar to Gav's MM site, but one dedicated to the vivid splendour that is the various colour & pickup variations that Bongos appear in?

I had a 5 HH DG Bongo a couple of years ago, and now it appears I need to purchase another one, but this time a 5HHp Bongo & string it with EB flats, in order to make my world complete...

Essentially, I need lots of Bongo porn to keep me focussed on this acquisition.

Cheers

Andy

Official word came out mid October.

I concur:

Think about availability. The 25th is a limited edition.

I can't believe it, either, that I'm not saying, "Bongo."

ya that is a suprise, i've never seen a post by you that you didn't say bongo.

But my problem with the 25th is it looks way too much like the 20th. i'll probably get that first but i have time, the Long and McQuade near me has had a 30th anniversary stingray for a while now and i know they have a 25th whihc will sit there for just as long.
