Its like 20 minutes from my house. The wife has grounded me from buying more stuff since I just put new speakers in my T.E. cab and got my sterling back.;) I thought about seeing if he was interested in a trade for the sterling but alas no interest in trades. This is probably the closest Ill ever get to a bongo. :( Somebody jump on it Mark is a pretty cool guy.

Very nice lookin' Bongo.

Did you put stock TE speakers back in it and did you find out which was the original?

apparantly none of them were original. Replaced all four with new T.E speakers. Sounds bloody fantastic!! :D It brought out a whole new realm of low end from my sterling. Makes me wish I never got rid of the 2 SR 5's I had at various time in the past. Im getting that urge to trade my sterling for a SR 5 again. :D Larry, you got a pic of that blue SR5 that I traded you before you modded it? Im trying to get photos "of all the basses Ive loved before" and im missing one of that bass. I lost it to G.A.S.

and I lost this one to pay off wedding bills.

Sorry John. I didn't take any pics of it until after I had replaced the pickup and the pickguard.

Darn! I really liked the butterscotch bass in the above pic, but It was a little noisy I think because it had the old style pickup without the dummy coil. But I thought the blue one I traded to you was just beautiful! I hope it found a good home with who ever you sold it to Larry. Im sure it makes them very happy!:D
