Interestingly, the link in the description to JP's website and the blatant promotion of the hot sauce are VERY CLEAR VIOLATIONs of ebays listing policies.

Also, I'll bet that it is standard industry practice to "loan" equipment out to celebrities. But in reality many of these items are actually "given" with no intent to have them returned. Isn't that called "indorsement" or some such. The giver does receive some intangible benefit, or something like that.

I don't think I'll be buying any hot sauce.. Now maybe if he loaned me a couple of bottles.................

Here is the story.
Joe and Aerosmith use our strings. We dont want to start a war over anything like a Albert Lee.

The Tech Jim called Brian wanting to make sure that there was no problem. Brian said that if Joe was selling it he may consider donating at least some of the money to the CLB.

Standard prcedure is that we loan the insruments out in hopes of exposure. We dont give guitars out to artists so they can sell them on Ebay.

Joe was advised of this and said "I like that guitar, I really dont want ot sell it"

Lets let Joe Perry do whatever he wants and respect the support he has given us over the years. He still uses the Silo bass nightly.

ust wanted to clear this up.

Reminds me of the bit from Trainspotting where Rents has to take the suppositories ... "I might as well have shoved them up my ass for all the good they've done" :D

I'm sorry the auction was pulled. I love Aerosmith and Joe Perry. I always imagined Joe Perry's attitude of being something like, "Shut up and leave me alone cuz I'm gonna play guitar!" I don't have an AL in my collection and this would have been a great one to have.

I hope all the Mojo and Karma is cool.

what I hope happens now is that Joe relists the guitar with all profits to the CLB.

I love Joe's playing and seeing Aerosmith live is a fantastic experience....kudos to him for pulling the auction.

Lets face it though he can't need the money - kidney research does.
