Brothers and Sisters don't give in to the evil of round wounds and hybrids. ;)

I have enough room in my heart for both rounds and flats.

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't, dig?

I haven't wanted to replace the Slinky's that came on my SR5 or my Bongo H. They sound just right to me. I tried some Blue Steels on my Bongo HH, but decided I like Slinky's better.

Jason, your fretted Bongo is nice, but your fretless Bongo has stunning looks and sounds incredible too. Man, that Wizzy, along with the iAmp sounded great at my house. Just an incredible sound from such a small package. Is it enough volume onstage? I really need more volume myself (my trio plays a bit loud). I'm planning to trade the Aggie 2x10 cab in for a 2x12.

I had a great time, Gary. The iAmp/Wizzy combo sounded great on stage at the 5 Spot. I've never been happier with my sound than I was on Saturday night. It's a beautiful thing when your bass and amp both make you extremely happy. :D

Don't forget the Atlanta GTG on the 16th!

glad you came back! I never switched. Slinkys rock.....haven't found anything better.

That pickguard looks familiar by the way.

Yeah, but I cut it up to make it fit with the Bass Mute, so you aren't getting it back. :p

You've got a PM coming about the Atlanta Talkbass GTG...

Hey, another EB/Wizzy player.

I picked up a Wizzy about 6 months ago to go along with my SR4. It's been the perfect cab for me when you consider tone, size, weight and price.

It oozes bass. ;)

Rounds can sound like flats ifing ya know how to mute em....but flats can never sound like rounds.

Don't confuse the issue by throwing technique into the mix.

To be truthful I really don't have room in my repertoire for technique ;)

Dude,

I'm not going to try to change your opinion, but keep this in mind...

Flats = Good, used by Motown great James Jamerson.

Rounds = Bad, used by Poison bassist Bobby Dall.

I rest my case. :D

Maybe I should take this to the string forum...
