This is a big picture question. In the past we didn't cover all of the price points so if someone wnated a 'MM Style" bass and couldn't afford the real one..they were forced to buy a copy. Now we have all of the price points covered and each of the instruments are quite good in their respective price point.

I have been involved in design and marketing for over 30 years. If I like something I support the person or company that created the product, not some company that only exists to profit from others innovation, hard work and creativity. I have never downloaded ripped off music and never bout a copy of anything. Karma baby.
Do you consider the OLP line one of those "price points" or are you referring strictly to the S.U.B. line and the regular line of EBMM guitars/basses?

yes I do consider OLP
Cool, i've played several OLP's unplugged in music stores and they definitely got the (EBMM) feel down pretty good. The five string neck feels very close to my SR5 neck.They don't feel like a "cheap bass" when you pick one up.Much better than the MIM and Korean basses from that other company. I wish they were available when I started out playing.Heck, I still might pick one up just for fun.Kudos to you BP for making the OLP MM guitars/basses possible :)

Some may recall my OT rant about recently walking into a "Genuine-American-Made" store, to purchase some "Genuine-American-Made" shoes that were actually made in the original company factory in the USA;

and about how, without hesitation, the salescritter showed me product made offshore, bearing the "G-A-M" label, and casually proceeded to misrepresent the product as "American Made" until I opened the shoe to discover the "Made In C@#$a label;

and how, without any shame, they passed off my objection with some typical "objection-answering-speak" ("made in C@#$a to G-A-M specifications" ) preplanned by the "G-A-M" marketing dep't ...

Rayan,

While there has never been a shortage of bullsh*t artists, I think the problem is that there are proportionally so many more today, and record numbers of them who actually believe their own bullsh*t.

Hence my avoidance of a particular EBMM retailer who overuses the term "Upgraded" to describe instrument features in their online ads for new and used product ...
... leaving me to wonder A) authentic factory extra co$t option; B) somebody's (hackjob) post-factory idea of an enhancement or improvement; C) bodjed 'collision' repairs; D) just plain ol' "point of sale" bullsh*t ???
