Damn Mike that was awesome! I can see all those seminars you were a part of with all those top tier players have really payed off in dividends. Watching this and looking back on your earlier videos you have taken your playing to a whole 'nother level. Watching you fly around the fret board and seeing how much more confident and aggressive a player you have become, just goes to show what hard work will do!

That is really awesome Mike! Sounds great and the Silo Special sounds amazing. It would be cool if you got to transcribe some of Andy's work.

JMD, you can start with Resolution. That is one of the most amazing instrumental guitar albums out there to date. It's amazing how Andy took the approach of orchestrating and writing the music for a trio that did not use any overdubs.

I cant wait to hear Andy's new project where he takes the same approach but covers (interprets) The Beatles' Sargent Pepper album only as a trio. From what I've heard so far, Andy did an amazing job.

Again Mike, that is really awesome! SO jealous that you got to hang with Andy hehe.

Thanks guys!

The Silo special now has an AT1 and a bridge cruiser in the neck, it sounds great, but feels better, if you get what I mean...

I heard all of Andys new album in the car when we were driving to London (5 hour trip!) I can safely say it is going to blow your minds, in a different way from how you might imagine. Andy has achieved the best recorded guitar tone. Ever. Period. Seriously!

Andy requested this video to be made because a friend of mine told him that I am good at transcribing, so he wanted to see if I could do it, he sent me a message this morning:

Heyyyyyy Mike.....

Great job man!!
Really wel done!!

Great playing brother. I'm honored!

By all means...transcribe away!

AT

...So now I am his transcriber... I guess!

I'm going to be fixing previous transcription errors and writing new ones that were previously unavailable on his website, starting with Beautiful Strange and September, the Falling down. These things sell for only $10 each and Andy sends them in a lovely plastic wallet with a signed photograph, and let me tell you, a lot of work and research goes into each transcription I do so $10 for a transcription like this is a huge bargain.

@ Stray - Thanks man! I am really working at it, I want to disengage my brain when I play and just go with it you know? but it's going to take me a while yet, but the journey is exciting, I'm enjoying the process!

@ JMD - you really have to listen to these, in this exact order, ASAP with the lights out on your iPod while laying down on a comfy bed;

Electric Gypsy,
Falling Down,
Pink Champagne Sparkle,
Gone,
A night to remember,
I remember Stevie,
When a man loves a woman (Andy Timmons and the pawn Kings)
Green Onions (Andy Timmons and the pawn Kings)
Little Wing (Andy Timmons and the pawn Kings)
Super 70's
Beautiful Strange,
Cry for you,
Ghost of you,
Deliver us,
The prayer / the answer,

And then purchase his new album 25th october, because it will be a valuable aid on your quest to the perfect tone

Thanks for that - I out it together and follow tose instructions......I actually don't listen to music like this enough (I did this as a teenager) - now I'm always multi-tasking....and Roubster: I cought 'Resolution' on youtube, totally sick. I love when a 'chops' guy plays with feel and lets the song dictate the guitar parts.

Back to Mike, congrats dude! You must be on top of the world, keep it up.

Hey JMD, that piece is amazing for sure and that is really just the way Andy plays in general. His music is based more on the song writing aspect and making a statement rather than shreding up a storm. When I said to check out Resolution though, I ment that whole album actually hehe. It's just so well written, executed, recorded.

Definatly - wanted to sample the title track before making the purchase. It's nice to find new guitarists to get into.....seems to get farther and farther between finding em.
