Great pic Peedo, must have been a thrill to meet JP, and for him to sign your guitars.

By the way, how did you manage to get your guitars in there for him to sign, surely you didn't sit through the gig with them beside you? :eek:

Andy,

she's my GF

+++++++++++++++

Starsky,

I put my sapphire black in a soft case (to make it lighter)for my GF to carry, while i brought my redburst with the hard case. we met John Petrucci before the show so after he signed my guitars, i took them to my car and went back to see the show.

It was a blast!!!

You are indeed a very lucky man sir, not only is she gorgeous but she carries guitars!!

Now promise me, NEVER leave your guitars alone in the car again......I used to own a very nice Martin J40........

Im sorry about your Martin J40... anyways, i kept the guitars in the trunk, covered with a black quilt and my car is well equipped with viper alarm system with paging features (a page goes to my cell) and sensors around it. no one can come close within 1 feet around the car without triggering the warning siren. and i parked in a garage, not on the side streets.

Man this sounds weird but i wouldnt get my guitar signed by JP because id never play it so i could preserve teh signature. I'd get him to sign the back plate that way I could take it off

I know what ya mean - when I got my AL signed by AL, I got him to sign the back of my headstock not the front - so I could play it without fear of the sig wearing off.

Nice Pic

Did you ever decide what to do to preserve the signature?

Thanks. I actually decided not to do anything, at least for now. The luthier i went to said that in order for him to put an overcoat on a finished wood, he needs to do some prep work (sanding and etc) and i just can't accept that. I got so scared (X 10 raised to an infinite number) that i didnt go with it. He told me anyways that for as long as i dont clean it with any substance, i will be fine since i used a paint marker. Hopefully that is true coz i already played my redburst in 3 shows already.

anyways. i never cleaned the top part of the body since it got signed. im just praying that i won't fade off.

That's awsome dude !! It always makes an instrument especially nice when they are personally autographed.
