Just got my Axis delivered today. As expected it is amazing. The action is incredible, the neck is awesome and it sounds amazing and it is in mint condition for a used piece.

Couple of issues. It didn't come with a manual. The Floyd Rose is a bit different from my Charvel. The bar doesn't "unscrew". How can I adjust the tightness of the bar or remove it?

Is there anyplace to download a manual?

My understanding is that the Floyd on the Axis is supposed to rest against the body. However I thought it was built that way. This one just seems to be a free floating tremolo simply resting on against the body. Am I misunderstanding how this is supposed to be set up? Frankly I prefer a free floating Floyd. Just want to make sure I am not messing things up.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Pete,

Nice Axis! There is no manual with these guitars. The tremolo should rest flat against the body and is "dive-only" as opposed to "free floating" The hex screw on the bar controls tension, and the hex screw at the very base of the tremolo block (under the plate) is how you remove it.

Good luck!
