Congrats man... It's a great amp, but really hard to dial in. At least for me cause I'm a total noob.

I am heading to GC today to pick one up. I've been under a total gas attack lately, I bought the JPX last week and the MArk V today. Tell me more! How does it sound? Which mode on channel three have you guys been using?

Absolute killer amp, monster tone and very versatile. But unfortunately I'm selling mine in favour of an Axe-FX setup (more practical for me at this time) the MkV is just too loud for home use (especially living in a unit).

I've got a MarkV, and it's the best amp I've ever played through. Congratz man !

This is funny. I just bought one and played it for hours and hours over the weekend. It was super tight and articulate but I couldn't dial in any warmth or real juicy saturation from it on channel 3. I A/b'd against my JVM and the JVM sounded a lit better to my ears.

Maybe I'm just a Marshall guy. I still have the Mark V. I was thinking of returning it to Guitar Center. If anyone has some good settings let me know and I'll keep trying.

Keep in mind that you have to understand how the pots interact and how to dial it in. It is not a plug and play amp.

I seriously doubt you are just a "Marshall guy". The Mark V has so much versatility, I am sure you could find certian ways to dial in certain modes that would blow your mind.

I would love that. I understand the amp is tight and cuts through but I should be able to get som warmth and juiciness out of it as well, no?

S'funny - I tried a Mk.V out twice. It's very versatile, but I couldn't get it to do a Recto sound - which is what I want for my lead tone!
So for me I think it'll be a Roadster - cos I still need a variety of sounds for my covers band, and it does a nice Recto sound!
