Thanks everybody. It's been a long time between jobs, so you would understand my excitement. I am also a little tentative, as I will be selling an unfamiliar product. I need to be successful right out of the gate, so I can make up for the lack of funds this past 9 months.

I have set a goal of 6 months to be making the kind of bonuses that I NEED to keep my family comfortable. I feel that this is a realistic time frame.

Hey guys,

Some of you know that I have been on a roller coaster ride the past year. I lost my job back in September, welcomed my new baby girl in November. Sold of almost ALL of my basses, and have been in a financial bind for the last 9 months.

Well, things are looking up! I got a job offer that I couldn't pass up. It's NOT my dream job, but I start on Monday. Hopefully in a few months, we can get back on our feet financially so that I can afford one of the Reflex basses.

I just wanted to let you all know, and thanks to the members that sent PM's of encouragement these past few months.

give em hell broham!!!! and a personal thanks for making me appreciate all that i have and way too often take for granted. thats a true american spirit u have. in this economy none of us are immune from what u are going thru. if it were me... i gotta admit.... i would probly b trying to work up a scheme where i got the gear first!!!

Congrats John, I'm really glad things are looking up for you! As always enjoy your family, that little girl is going to grow up faster than you can imagine! (mine is 3 and 1/2, and it feels like just yesterday when she came home).

Thanks Matt,

She IS growing up fast! She'll be 8 months old on the 9th, and seems like she was born yesterday.

UPDATE:

After less than 8 weeks on the job, they let me go last week.

I'm a little upset, but honestly the job wasn't what I thought. The company was using a computer system from the 80's, and there was enough paper to bring down the rainforest!

I spent more time physically writing up orders (on paper) then actual selling. I thought this was a SALES position.

Anyway, I'm back to the job hunt, and this time it will be the RIGHT situation. :D
