..about a Bongo 6 string electric Guitar, and it looked ultra sweet. It had UFO inlays and it was in a crazy light sparkle blue extraterrestrial finish and it had a floyd rose.

I would totally play those. Oh man.

you may be right!
i guess it would look sort of like a roswell rhoads in reverse? without the aluminium look to it (although a bongo in aluminium would be sweet!)

hmmmmm, interesting. A few people have been having ernie ball/ dream theater related dreams lately. It's probably a part of Petrucci's world domination . I guess Myung has jumped on board! :D

I was always partial to the Roswell Rhoads.. even after I quit playing Jacksons that shape always stuck with me.

I think the Bongo electric guitar would totally destroy the Roswell Rhoads, though.

I mean, no doubt the guitar would be a difficult product to move because it wouldn't appeal to a huge amount of people, but damn it.. it's my goal in this lifetime to get one made for me.

I was never keen on the roswell, mainly cause i hold Randy in such regard. the idea of the aluminium was interesting though, the Bongo is in a different league!

If I'm remembering correctly they had a one-off prototype guitar at the EBMM open house back in 2005. I wasnt there :(, but I remember a couple of attendees snapped photos of it and posted them up on their pages.

Try searching for "Open House" as I believe there were threads about this and other prototypes that didn't make it to market right after the event.

That's badass!

Maybe refine it a little... make the finish look a little more out of this world, crazy inlays and the Bongo headstock.. man, that would be one sweet looking guitar!!!!!!

H-S-H config...24 frets. man.. that would be insanely cool.

Most guitarists are so stuck in the past, that anything slightly out of the ordinary just won't sell. Shame really, as it stops so much innovation.
