The legal mumbo-jumbo:

I am not a representative of EBMM nor affiliated with them in any official capacity. The offer is open to all first time registered members (post count has to be 1 on the reply). Strings will be shipped to anywhere in the world that the USPS can get it to. Recipient has to provide a shipping address via a PM to me. I reserve the right to refuse requests. I reserve the right to open this offer to any registered members if there are no new members who want these particular strings. Replying to this offer absolves me of any responsibility if the strings are lost or any damage is incurred by any means involving this particular set of strings. If anyone feels this offer is unfair, out of line or unwelcome, please let me know. I will delete this posting along with retracting the offer. Warwick nick or any incarnation of him on this board is not eligible. Apple Powerbook not included.

Evidently there was a miscommunication Steve. You ruined the surprise. You were supposed to wait until after their first post.

Stinker of an assignment too. Sometimes being Micros@@t-free is a bit of a curse.

Can you do pdf' s on those McDonald's things??

I think I've got it covered. I've got OpenOffice so I can open *.doc files. Then I can edit it and export it as a PDF.

I tried the PDF file from the SOB registration page but Acrobat Reader 7.0.5 for Macs does not recognize any fillable fields in the form.

I'm more than willing to be a guinea pig (unless Jack and Erika are around, I don't wanna be fried) if you want to make this dummy proof for other non-Word users. Otherwise, I think I got it. Will let you know shortly.

Wow, no takers so far. If they aren't gone, I'll open it up to current forum members around 7pm tomorrow. Gonna have to get creative on how I give them away tho'. :D

This is a most noble gesture Tom. Why there are no takers defeats me. The price of strings is surely enough to prompt someone to join up for this forum of forums. I applaud your gesture my friend.

Even though I have the "automatically log me in" box checked, it often eventually logs me out, and so even though I do not always post, I do constantly read. Leads me to believe a lot of these lurkers may not actually BE lurkers, but are members who just aren't logging in each time they enter the site. Just my thoughts.

I thought I'd won some free EB Flats from Jack way back when, but that competition obviously wasn't "legit".

i'm a newbie!

please may i have a free unopened set of Ernie Ball Power Slinky strings?! :)

a bit about me.........

i've just picked up the bass again after a bit of break for a few years, and have just recently bought a SUB bass off ebay for a good price (well i thought so!). From the serial number i think it dates from the end of 2003.

It was a bit of a risk as i hadn't even played a SUB before, but I'm really really impressed with it. I was concerned that i might not like the slab body or the finish of it, but i love it! And it just sounds awesome!

cheers
