The Valentine is gone :(
How come you let that one go ?

When I bought the Valentine, I wanted an Albert Lee. But I was happy enough with the Valentine, which of course sent my Tele whimpering and crying into the closet.

But I still wanted an Albert Lee. So when the opportunity came to acquire TWO Albert Lees, I figured: I'm old, I could die, there's a pandemic, etc, so best to just go ahead and buy those two guitars and worry about paying for them later.

Which I did by selling a couple of things, including my beloved Valentine. It's a great guitar, but now I have two Albert Lees and all is right with the world.

Oh yes, the Valentine is a keeper. It stays forever. But I wanted (needed) something with humbuckers and a whammy bar.

Well, the Stingray and the Valentine are gone now. I'm down to just the two ALs, which is kind of what I wanted to begin with.

Plus the Big Al, of course!

From quote #1 to quote #2, less than 30 days. That's gotta be some kind of record. :D

Though if I played guitar, I'd want an Albert Lee.

As long as you are happy with then that’s all that matters. Could think of far worse than a pair of ALs.
I’ll admit I’m not that clued up on EBMM guitars, I’ve got a couple of nice acoustics and electrics but that Valentine really caught my eye !
EBMM over recent years have really been knocking out some very nice guitars, really upped the game, so it would be tough to choose.

I also brought my Bongo 5 with exactly the same attitude, even got a dog with it to ! :p

But yeah. Your StingRay guitar has to be some kind of turnaround record

I know I sound like my ex wife with purses, but the Valentine really WAS a keeper. Beautiful guitar.

But I bought the green AL without paying much attention. It didn't have a whammy bar. I wanted a whammy bar. Bassists don't look that close, I guess, at bridges. I know I didn't.

Then the Orange Crush came up and it had a whammy bar. It was priced right. It was a BFR. I bought it.

So then I had the four guitars, having also bought the Stingray (it had a whammy bar). I had to pay for those ALs so I did what I had to do.

I am happy as the proverbial pig in the equally proverbial stuff that proverbial pigs enjoy.

As long as it’s working for you that’s all that matters. I never really thought of the combined price of all four together lol :p yeah that’s going to nip at the bank balance

Well that’s another guitar to add to the GAS list for me anyways
