I spent the day today playing various Bongos in Denmark Street (well, there were 3) and decided I am definitely going to be buying more...I need HH, H and HS. And a 5 and fretless of some variety. I just love the feel, sound and look. There was a lava pearl 4HH which I just fell in love with - I just can't stress enough how much I love the shape and form of the Bongo. It is so mean yet so pretty. It balances perfectly and the neck is gorgeous. I'm going back next week and maybe (if I can somehow come up with the money) buy that HH...
Then Gordon Ramsay's was very nice. It was definitely fresh...I think the whole microwave thing is in times that have passed. Anyway, I enjoyed my veal but just couldn't stop thinking about the Bongo. Louis my older brother (who is celebrating his 21st soon) was looking at acoustic guitars and couldn't stop talking about the one he found, so all in all a musically and foodily good day.
