Nice score Devin! Hope you enjoy that guitar. In person the finish is even more beautiful. In pictures it always looks a bit washed out and not as deep as it is in person. You must post the family picture of the JPX once you take delivery if the Y2D! Of course curious to read your opinion on the guitar as well once you play the heck out of that beauty. I like hat curly flame top going on there.

Good to hear man! Now need a complete report and comparing it to your JPX, now that you can do that as well hehe. And where is the video and your family pics eh?

i'd be curious about the comparisons too. one's like a ferrari the other like a chevy pickup....as far as body contours. i'd be curious if he found the y2d comfortable to play.

That's is a perfect analogy for the two. I do find the JPX much more comfortable but because of the rounded binding on the Morse it too is comfortable especially considering there is no cutaway at all. It was instantly noticeable but after just 15 min of playing you forget it's not there. I played for about 6 hours yesterday most of that time on the Y2D. The tone is incredible! It's just so balanced. Chords ring out perfectly even with heavy distortion. I also found that the tone control effect the sound more so than the JPX. I usually play with my tone at a 10 with the JPX nearly at all times but with the Y2D 10 Is way to bright (for me atleast) and I leave it at around 7-8. I know Steve uses his tone knob a lot to get wah wah pedal effects so maybe this is why it's so extreme. I dig it though for sure though. Tried doing some of those famous tone swells steve does and it does work! But holy crap is it hard to do. He must have MASSIVE hands. I cant reach the tone knob comfortable and strum at the same time. I'll post more pictures and try and upload the video of me waiting outside for her to arrive.
