The dual pickup Bongos also have the 4 way EQ. Both the hi and mid hi get a good boost.
I find that I can use the low mid EQ as sort of a notch filter. I tend to really crank the bass EQ and that starts to muddy the mids some. By cutting the low mid back some it tends to compartmentalize the bass boost to the lower end.
But that is just me.
