twang...have you heard of the Albert Lee?

+1!

Rob -
If you get any strat/tele style guitar without at least playing the AL you will kick yourself later - trust me - I've tried them all. The AL just smokes everything (even my buddies CS '51 nocaster). It's just a monster! And remember - the bridge pickup has a metal plate under it - talk about twang!

Yes I would dearly love an Albert Lee!!!!!!!! It seems like the perfect guitar for me, strat and tele killer in one! I will buy one for sure, am planning on ordering one next month anyway, ( trans orange, shell guard, matching head, hardtail ) but the opportunity to go and play one first just isnt there, yet I could have this G&L ASAT next week if i desire. Maybe i should hold off on the ASAT?

Sorry all you 'mericans but I'm going to use a football (football) analogy. I have always suppoerted Liverpool, but I have a soft spot for Bolton who aren;t really as good.

So if I had money to burn and could buy any and every guitar I wanted I would love to get an old strat. Some of my favey players use them (gilmour, johnson).

That said, any time I would have a spare grand or so a MM has got to be top of my list. But I still would like a strat. Just my 2 pennys. Besides, It's good to have other stuff to play with just to remind you how good your balls feel ;-)
