It has been a privilege to of been a member here since June of 07. This place has been like my second family (without the drinking).

In March of 08 I was laid off and still have no job or any irons in the fire. Picking up my guitar and just playing for myself has helped keep me sane during these stressful times.

I have exhausted my savings & my unemployment insurance and now live on Social Assistance. I lost my mother last November, I filed bankruptcy last February, I lost my Jeep and I sold my beloved 2006 Axis last month to help with some bills. I now have to sell my AX40 to help with more bills. Having no guitar is really going to suck!

As soon as I get back on my feet, a Mystic Dream JP will be on order.

If it OK with all you fourmites, I plan on staying a member even thought I don’t own an EBMM guitar. I hope thats ok with everyone.

I do sympathise. My situation has dive bombed this year too. What few gigs I have right now have been keeping me fed and that's about it. We're good people, it'll get better. And don't think for one minute of not hanging out here. It's one of those things that keeps me sane! I'll be thinking of ya, hang in there.

Life is like a roller coaster, sooner or later it has to come up again. Hang in there and take the time to decide what features you would like on your new EBMM ;)

Sucks that you're going through a rough patch. I don't think anyone would expect you to leave the forum just because you don't own a Ball. You're still one of us.

Well I'd like to say that now it will be easy for you and I sincerely hope so.
It's only 'UP' from now on since you've hit the rock bottom! Play your music and keep your eyes open.

Man, I'm truly sorry to hear about your situations. It could only be UP from here, right?
It's too bad you had to sell the AX40 too, we discussed what a great guitar that was.
All the best and hang in there, bro.

Hey Man, Sorry to hear about your bad situation... I just wanted to let you know that a lot of us are in a similar boat. I was laid off in January and am watching my savings dwindle to an uncomfortable level... but enough about me... the thing to remember is that there is hope hidden behind every door. Stay on the forum as you never know when someone is going to be able to help you or point you in the direction of hope. The thing I have found is that a situation is only hopeless once you lose faith.

So let me ask...

What did you do before getting laid off? and what are you looking to do now?

Maybe one of our Canadian friends here on the forum can help you out???

Keep your head up man. I know that right now it feels like all is lost, but you have to know that things will get better. Without being too philosophical, I believe that there is balance in the universe. For every negative thing you experience in life, and equally positive thing will happen, and vice-versa. Sometimes the negative things all pile up at once, and the positive things happen over time. Sometimes, we just fail to recognize when the good things are happening, but they do.

When I think about all the bad things that have happened to me in my life, I can look back now and see that they ended up helping me in the long run. I've at least learned something from the bad times. I've lost jobs, only to go on and find a better one. When I was in the middle of the turmoil, I couldn't see any positive to the experience. Now, I have faith that no matter what happens, it has to be the way that it is for things to get better. I would have never ended up with a better job had I not lost the last one.

Don't let life beat you down. The only limitations you have in life are the ones you place on yourself. Don't focus on the bad things, but instead, try to see the things that are positive in your life. I know that getting rid of your guitars sucks, but it's just stuff. You can get stuff back. Be thankful for the things you have that nobody can take away.

To quote the Fat Man from Samuel Shem's House of God:

"Trash your illusions and the world will beat a pathway to your door". You'll be ok, and please stay aboard.

I'm so sorry to hear it man. Positive vibes your way. If there's anything I can do, just let me know ... I live not too far away from you. And you're welcome anytime to come by and pick up a fiddle or two.

A big Thank You for all the kind words. I try to keep my chin up, but its hard. I shouldn’t use this forum to wine about my problems as I know that there are many of you in the same boat. Chatting about it is sorta therapeutic in a way.

I’m a graphic designer for a living Stratty.

Thanks again all. I think I will stick around here.

If it's any help the truth of the matter is that once you hit the bottom the only other way is up. Good luck in overcoming this dark period.
