I have some news!

Hi guys,

Thought I'd let you know a couple of bits of news.

First off, Louise and I are getting married on May 17th. All a bit rushed, but there is a reason.

Brings me to my second bit of news. I've been offered a job in Perth, Western Australia and I've accepted it. The visa will take 4-5 months to come through, then we will be able to emigrate. Apparently the music scene is good out there, particularly for the sort of music I like(funk/soul/jazz).

Here's hoping I'm able to get the visa okay.

bassmonkey, congrats on both counts. Perth is a very nice city - my in laws live there, and apart from that I like it a lot. It's growing like a weed due to the resources boom, but of course that means that housing prices are going through the roof (but being an expat, you'll likely be protected from that expense).
