I just bought a D-Sonic... somebody tell me how to fit it?

is it really that easy? just connect 2 wires? also, which color is which coil?

also, if i'm installing it like JP, do I install it in reverse to that diagram?

I.e. Coil 1 to where coil 2 should go and visa versa?

Email customer service and they'll send you a wiring diagram from the stock JP.

But ... since both pickups are DiMarzio, the wiring colours should be the same. You'll have 4 wires to connect and you should be able to wire them up exactly like the stock pickup.

Beej is right, just duplicate the colored wiring scheme for the bridge pickup. Dimarzio codes all of their pickups with the same wire colors per coil.

i conected the wires like the original wires had been and like the color-codes on the switch.
your are right, that the coils are reverse than, but that isn´t a problem.
i even think it sounds better in splittposition with the coil closer to the bridge.
you will not have an out of phase problem.

I want to put it in my guitar like JP has his, is this correct?

if you put it in with the blade to the neck and wire it up like the colorcodes are, you´ll not get the blade-coil for splittposition, because the PUP is reverse mounted in JP´s guitar.

yeh this is what I want. to reverse mount it.

Blade to the neck, using the blade for the split position, ala JP.

You're also 'rele' confused about the English language.

A D-Sonic is a Dimarzio pickup that Petrucci has installed in his 6-string guitars at the bridge position.
