I had been without a Ray' for the past couple years. I finally went out and bought a fretless Stingray. I can't believe basses are made this well. It's amazing how well the necks play and how well the Stingray sound fits a fretless. Man I love this bass!

Next on the list is a Stingray HS!

I was fortunate enough to try a Bongo HS, I believe, at a GC when they got it in (so no bad setup). It was probably the lowest action I had ever seen and probably one of the most versatile basses I had heard, tonewise. Not sure I love the shape enough to buy one? I can appreciate the beauty and the playability though. It's like within the past few years EB has really brought the bar up with their stuff. I don't think there is a company out there that still produces basses in the good ol' USA in this price range that can compete. I know G&L is right up there but to me the EB's I've tried just outplay them. Although I do love my 90' G&L SB2.

I absolutely love this bass. Fretless feels completely normal to me. Now when I pick up my SB2 I am kind of dissapointed. It's weird. I think I need to put flats back on my SB2. The rounds just don't sound good. I also ordered some TI's for the Singray. Hope they work out.
