Hey BM - You need an amp .. here http://www.ernieball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12903 I'm disposing of my Trace Elliot. I'm also in the UK by car at end-Feb so if you want it, I can bring it over as far as the West Midlands.

Its rated 130Watt in its current form, and even that can drown out an enthusiastic, clog-wearing dutch drummer .. if you want more belt, for a covers band, the 1048 cab (4x10) is a good buy, and doesn't cost a lot - then you get close to 300watt of clean trowser-flapping oomph, and a very attractive stack.

Here's an update. I tried Ashdown, Ampeg and Gallien-Krueger rigs. I finally settled on a GK RB1001-II with a GK 4X10 cab. It was the combination that really jumped out at me and said "I'm your new amp". The Ashdown was too harsh, the Ampeg a little too soft, the GK was just perfect. It's so loud though, I cannot believe it.

I've played a Pink cover before

I am still playing a heavy cover of Hit me Baby one more time - Ms Spit in your Beers - but I get the high backing vocal bit....still its all fun at the end of the day.
