I know we've beaten this hardshell case vs. GigBag thing to death, but I have to tell you what happened this last Sunday at our church.

We had a young group called "One Accord" from a Minneapolis bible college that ministered at our church. Needless to say I was thrilled when I saw his bass, none other than an orange H/H Bongo 5!! Then I noticed that there was a chip about the size of a dime out of the very end of the headstock. I asked him about it and he sadly replied that when the guy at Guitar Center sold it to him he threw in a gigbag free. When he got home he opened it up and the inside of the zipper had chipped off a hunk of paint!:( :(

He said that after that incident he is now devoted to HSC's, no matter how inconvenient it may be.

Just passing this along to all you gig-baggers. Think before you zip it!:p

I've read in some bass magazine that the paint on the headstock is very thin. That might explain why even a zipper could chip off a chunk of paint on the Bongo's headstock.
