To all the guys involved in developing the Cobalts: Thank you!

I´m playing for 31 years now, never sold a single piece of private gear (please don´t ask about the wharehouse:)) , I have a collection of different guitars and amps.
And some know I own a guitar shop and play live very often.

Things in the shop come and go, I´m really not easy to impress because the last 21 years of my shop were a eyeopener how some companies work and "invent" the latest and greatest.

I received the strings last week (hey I ordered more than I received for the shop )and put them on for some gigs at the weekend, didn´t try them with my live rig because I didn´t have it with me when I put them on. I only tried them with my original 65 Super Reverb for 5 minutes to break them in a little.
What I realized was like great smooth feel but not slippery and the snappiness (hey I created a word) in the midrange. Then I had to leave for the gig.
Oh I have to add, I put it on my main guitar for 19years which I have to admit is not the home brand of this site but I know that guitar inside out and I had super slinkys on it for almost that time. But no F or G brand;)

To make a long story even longer - the gig was fantastic even my sound engineer mentioned the better sound and I didn´t even tell him about the strings. Well I did afterwards ( he´s working for the big names too, so be prepared:D).

I didn´t rejust my rig settings at the soundcheck and I didn´t have to do it. The gain increase was not subtle it was obvious. And my high gain setting which was boomy sometimes on chords because I like to have a good thick single note sound was tighter and more focused and it was a pleasure to play. Very Good!!!

I will not look back!!! Very good new product and I´ll spread the word...

To who is interested in what my rig is:

Bogner Fish preamp
ENGL Poweramp
Mesa Thiele 1x12 (road ready)

and the usual stomps and 19" F/X (but that´s not important to the true sound)

Now back to work

Mick

P.S.: I previewed my post and I sound like a brownnose:eek:

Welcome to the Cobalt fan club Mick!!! A musician buddy here at work who is VERY picky about his gear tried them out on one of his guitars and even he was raving about them. Of course he tried them out thanks to me! :)
