The shape of the body reminds me the shape of the SUB.
But of course the headstock of the SUB is the classis Music Man shape.

You know, there are two versions of this guitar, right? The regular version and the deluxe version? The regular version doesn’t have binding and comes with Rosewood board.
I saw it in Music Man’s email later, but the gold hardware is a bigger deal (to me) than the neck finish. I have some finished neck Music Man guitars, and prefer the unfinished, but gold hardware is a non starter.

I really wonder, how the pickups compare to the Music Man Wide Range Ranger humbuckers pickups of the Valentine Carmelo BFR, which I can call my own. It sounds a bit similar, that the most high end unfolds with volume and that it gets tuned down a bit with lower volume. And it's both completely passive, which I really like. It's kinda the first guitar with passive HT pickups?
In every case the Stringray II at least doesn't have the twangy middle positions of split humbuckers, which the Valentine Carmelo does have.

Sweetwater has a limited to them silver color that has chrome hardware. Looks pretty sweet to me!

So what is the difference in the models, one states Deluxe the others do not?
Not much, the deluxe has Roasted Figured Maple fretboard, with Satin finish and White Dot with Black Side Markers and colored headstock.
Also the colors obviously.

The non-deluxe has Rosewood fretboard, with Gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend finish and White Dot only and non colored headstock.

On the website you can compare them directly

I love maple fretboards, though. The white one is great, but I probably won't get one here, might look for the pine colored one.

The Deluxes also have bound fingerboards

Great thanks for the info, looking at them now, to vault or not to vault :)
Vault is not a good option in Germany, unless you don't care about money and can wait. You pay like 950 Eur tax + 200 Eur shipping.
The pine green is 3800 Eur at a local dealer (which still needs 4-5 weeks to be ready) and the White one would be 4500 Eur.
Not sure, if I would do that...

Well yes International would make it hard but I am in the US and the Vault has been very good to me :)

I like the overall styling on these a lot. Wish there was one with chrome hardware, though.

And if you don’t like the headstock, please just say it looks wong.
