i made a mistake

i went to accent music for supplies (thats a mistake in itself)
i got ultra lightweight girbraltar beaters for my double bass pedal, and a pad that goes on the bass drum's batter head to protect it / make it sound better, but also....
i needed super heavy gauge strings (because i like to play super low drop C) size .13-.56 the kind that are the size of telephone lines. BUT, they didnt have ernie ball beefy strings so i bought D'Addario.......
so my dad locked me in my room for 3 days

C'mon, if You are man enough to play those telephone chords, You have to be man enough to stop whining here. Life is hard, take Your beating, sell Your guitar and drums - this mistake will haunt You for years, but that's how it goes.

And Tommy, please, sharpen the boy up so he doesn't do those silly things EVER again .

though we are not here to condemn or judge you on your errant ways, we do reserve the right to mock and make fun... it's what family does! I'm sure you have received quite the public humiliation for this so i won't add to the embarrassment for you and your family. Although I do remember my grandmother used to say... "WHEN THEY'RE DOWN.......... KICK 'EM"

D'Adario? Are you kidding me? I think you're getting off quite easy with just being locked in your room... heck if that was my son that publicly announced he used inferior products (even just once) i wouldn't even let him play guitar, or even attempt to save some dignity by playing drums. I force him to join the marching band at school and play the triangle. So you should be blessed that you dad is way more understanding than I....





and for the record no i am not serious! (between you and me SonofTommy i've made the same mistake a few times- which is why i try to keep a few extra packs on hand)
