working with this cat jimmy wayne over the next few days. this guy has blown my mind. i was just about ready to give up on this town, when i was invited to be a part of his project. he's not your average country singer. he had a rough childhood and has a heart for homeless kids, and was sick of all the typical music row b.s., so one day he decided to walk halfway across the united states to raise awareness and raise money for troubled teens like him. it took him 7 months day after day of non stop walking. the last bit of the journey on crutches, because of a broken foot. but he did it. the guy actually went every step of the way like he said he would. this is not the kinda person im used to dealing with in this town. truly truly impressed.
by the way.... not a word of this was mentioned when i was booked for this gig. they werent asking for me to give my time. in fact they offered to pay me double what most labels pay. im speechless. heres a link to a video that tells you a little more about his story.
hope its ok to post this here bp, with the relevance being that im putting the ebmm sound all over the record. i know you have a heart for the people too, and thought u might digg seeing that there are still some artists out there that have the ability to care about someone other than themselves....
