Thanks again to all guys - I know you can feel my pain ;)
Really sucks looking forward to something for
almost 6 months & watching it slip through
your fingers only an hour away.

thindave, I ordered from NJ Guitar & Bass in
Edison. My experience with them has been good
but I think they could have been more upfront on this-
still, not their fault they didn't get the bass.

I'm hoping for a miracle and keeping my fingers crossed
that I don't have to wait for the manufacturing process, again.

We have been in the same boat as NJG&B, playing the waiting and paperwork game. I think NJ&B has been totally up front...he has no idea what hapened. We have already re-entered your bass in the system as a rushed piece. It shouldn't take longer than a few weeks for you to get your bass. Sorry for the hassle.

There ya go--no need to worry.

Darg hooked me up when there was problem with my fretless white Bongo. Even with an additional manufacturing headache (ie why there aren't any more white Bongos:D ), the turnaround time was pretty quick for the second one.

Was it FedEx Ground or FedEx Express?

If it was Express, I can at least look in our system to see what kind of scan(s) it received, if any. If it was Ground, I can't get into their system.

The single most common reason for packages not getting delivered correctly is when the label either comes off or another label comes off and gets stuck on your package. I just had that happen a couple of weeks ago on a bass I shipped, it was 'lost' for a few days because another label covered up the correct barcode. It ended up being delivered correctly.

I always put an extra 1 or 2 sheets inside (one in the case and one just inside the box) that has the TO and FROM shipping info. If a package gets misdirected, someone should open up the box and look to see if there is any address info in there.

One thing I notice that happens very often when getting shipments from music stores is that they will often reuse boxes without removing or blacking out the previous shipping info and labels.

Good luck (and keep your fingers crossed that your 'first' bass ends up getting delivered after your 'second' bass gets finished and in your hands. That would be the ultimate backup.

Mucho thanks Dargin & there's no need for an apology from you or NJGB.

I really appreciate the "expedited" order, which btw, sounds much better
than "rushed piece" :D . . . that reminds me of my last F*nder ;)

You guys are great. Thanks!
