I need strings for detuning, but i must have a wound G string

hi, i need some good string for detuning, i tried power slinkys once, i need a wound G, otherwise it sounds horrid on my guitar (very harsh). right now i'm stuck using Dean Markley Med gauge cause its all i can find with wound G, but they dont last long and don't de-tune well. What should I use????
