I just missed out on a stealth Bongo 4. A friend of mine decided to let it go in favour of his Ricks (Which he prefers??), and he forgot to ask me if I wanted first refusal . Ah well, I'll have to wait some more I guess.

I sat in the house band for a blues jam (it's nice being the guy at the jam getting paid ) last night, too. Lots of comments on the Dargie 5H with flats--all good comments, too. My other Bongos are starting to get jealous.

I played two sets (4 song, jam sets), but I took my black Sterling instead. It was already in a case with a tuner and easier to get to than my Bongo 5H. How lazy can a guy get...

I may have picked up a gig though, this band leader asked me if I could fill in on a couple of dates. He said "Hey, do you have a 5 string too, we play this ballad...?" I smiled and said "Yes, I have THE five string!"

I hope he calls, I haven't played a bass gig in a while.
