From what I hear from some Active SUB owners, the top end can be a tad harsh. Not an issue in the passive ones. But, it's all in the ear of the beholder. In fact, according to BP, the passive SUB's were in response to customer requests for a passive instrument and EBMM delivered IN SPADES! KILLER tone with no battery to worry about! I lurve mine! ;)

active sub owners do not say that...non owner posers on other forums like to be experts...it sounds EXACTLY Like a stingray. I love the subs...they do for some reason after breakin have a inordinate amount of mojo

the little single h trem guitar is a little rock monster.

Thanx BP for setting the record straight! I just know that I really dig mine!

I want to get my hands on a SUB guitar hardtail. As a bassplayer, that trem-yulow system confuses me! :D

It is all about finding what works for you. Oldtoe as I have heard can play the knobs off any bass.

Been around here awhile. Can count on one hand how may bass players I will give that credit to.

BP and Ben are not in question. I just wish I could play like either of them.

I am a ordinary bongo player. Just an ordinary gotta have my bongo to play well kind of guy.

Notice I never said slouch until now.

We are a world we are all different in some ways and alike in others.

I said this cuz I don't know nothing about a passive EB bass.

I gots battery. I love battery as a matter of fact.
Just what was the point in building a passive bass BP?

:D

The one I rescued I can see the bare wood on the underside of the neck. I don't see any scratches on the body though. :D

Pit Bulls can do a number on one. :)

They still play good but they are a little more holy than they used to be. :D
