Wow, that is beautiful. Congrats.

If you get two black knobs might be interesting to see how it looks with one black one cream to match the pup configuration. You can then assess all three knob options for yr favourite. I would take a pic of all three then compare the pics side by side to confirm my decison too.

If you find you don't like any then by all means feel free to send it my way please

cheers
Baz

Yikes, that is a killer guitar. Love the color, great quilt top, awesome birds-eye on the neck and fretboard. You can't beat that.

I had my eye on that very same Luke and saw someone bought it. Real sorry to hear of the neck problems. I'm curious to see if they re list it and at what price.

The guy I talked to there said that it was a friend of his who traded it in. Guess we might know why the guy got rid of it now....

Hey, u talkin to me? NY
Thanks guys, I'll post a NGD thread with my own pics when I get that beautiful BFR ASS. I can't wait to compare the tone block sound difference too. In reference to the LE Luke, the NY GC posted it for sale on the Used GC site for the original price. They most likely just put it up on the wall, so be aware...

Nope, haha....

I think Im gonna have you seek out the next regular Axis... the tops on your bunch are BEYOND sucky! Well done Slav... pretty soon that blue one is going to be the bunch and will have to be let go... when that happens you know who to call... and it isn't Ghostbusters.

I already got one picked out just for you bro!;)

BTW, that BFR ASS was made on October 29, 2008.

I was sad to return it too, I have been wanting a clean one for a long while - so I was really bummed. Trust me, I had spent over an hour with my guitar tech on Friday just talking through all of the neck work options and he's the type of guy that can fix anything (plus he likes a good challenge). After talking through the work and every option, even he told me that it would be best to return it - the amount of work that it would take just to get it to play OK (not guaranteeing me that he would be able to get the low action/setup that I love) just didn't make sense. If it was a standard model and I could send the neck back to EBMM and buy another neck I would. I hate the fact that GC just put it back on the wall and they are selling it for the original price - with the known neck issues.

If Pete was in the store on Saturday, that Desert Gold JP6 would have been mine. The GR is a sick guitar but after thinking about it and trying out a new one at a store, I realized that due to my playing style and pickup output preference if I bought her she would just sit in the case and not get played (which I didn't want to happen). I figured that a BFR ASS with the Tone Block would give me something slightly different and still keep me happy with the Axis pickups. Plus, I'm a sucker for sucky quilt-tops and birdseye maple boards...

Your amazing BFR Luke was my third option but, I just couldn't pass up the deal that I got on that BFR ASS. I can't believe that no one bought that Luke from you yet. I would think that it would be perfect for Dean? Maybe a trade with cash on his part for his 20th? (shipping to Australia is a lot of money though).

Slav buy that Axis..................................

OK;) I'm hoping to get her on Wednesday:D

Slav, I bet you didn't know that the pickups on the GR are hot like the pickups in your axis! You did make a nice score, though.

I was home all weekend grilling, smoking, and cleaning silt out of my pond.

Thanks Pete. I didn't know that about the GR. The one I played at a store by me was through a basic amp with no real good distortion sound. Plus, Patrick's review of his GR stuck in my head - " the minis have kind of a vintage-y sound, very warm yet sizzling (especially the bridge PU). Compared to the 20th (one should think that would be the closest comparison) it probably isn't as "meaty" soundwise (the 20th probably has the "thicker" sound while the GR sounds more "lively") ".

Once the news gets out that you have a basically new GR for an awesome used price, someone here will definitely grab it quick! Saturday was a beautiful day, I'm glad that you had a nice day off making some of that amazing looking food:eek:!
