I went into a GC today at lunch and saw the following:

1 Black Luke
1 20th Silohuette
1 Honeyburst Axis
1 Rosewood Axis
1 Sapphire Black JP
1 SUB
and
1 Pearl Redburst JP getting a setup

First time I had ever seen 5 new MM guitars in a GC that weren't SUBs. Kinda crazy...

Damn it, damn it, damn it! Too far for me.
Why can't the GC's in San Antonio and Austin have stock like that. MorgueGuitars in Corpus Christi keeps telling me they are getting EBs, but they never have them in stock. The closest place to me (McAllen) only has 1 Morse, but with trem.
Wish I lived in Dallas!:(

i went into the store of our local EB dealer.

and i found NO musicman guitar. and he was surprised to hear from a 20th silo...
thats the reason why i purchase all guitars in USA.

and he asked me if i dont want a PRS. after i asked for a silo.-....

Similar at the NYC GC on 14th St.

A few months ago there were no MM's with the exception of a SUB
Last few weeks an Axis, Rosewood SS, Petrucci, 20th Silo, the SUB and an LE Black LUKE that was in and out within 2 weeks.

I wonder if anyone would notice if I took tomorrow off from work and flew to Dallas to check them out.

BP, if it's not too much of a hassle, are there any such GC's on the Central Coast area (Oxnard, Bakersfield, Fresno) that will be stocking these? Note my location. Irony....

ya the San Francisco GC impressed me last time i was there (a month ago)... someone else mentioned this in another thread.

They had 2 or 3 Rosewood Super Sports (some trem, some non), an LE Luke, a JP6 & a few more non-rosewood axis and/or super sports.

Ya... BP's mentioned on the forums that he's been talking to GC and meeting with their CEO etc and I'm sure we're seeing the fruits of all that now.

woo hoo

There was a 20th Silo, Luke, and JP6P in GC Seattle the other day. I bought my Axis SS there a few months ago.

OK...everyone....just so you know (in case you did not), I met the CEO of Guitar Center here in Va. Beach compliments of Big Poppa, Dargie and Brian. Needless to say, he is a super cool dude and was genuinely concerned about his customers. I had an in depth conversation with him and told him of some of the concerns of the forum. Now, keep in mind, we are barely 2%, if that, of his customer base. Yet, he listened intently (I could tell his sincerety) because he asked me (of all peeps) what the concerns were and asked for ideas on how to fix it. I gave them to him and let him know that the Va. Beach store is AWESOME....I can't vouche for the others...but the one here is great. I am known there and there is plenty of EBMM products available, set up perfect...and located right at the entrance of the store. Which is the best location in my opinion. It is not the EB products that are set up and ready to go....it is ALL of them. They are constantly checking the guitars/basses/amps/drums/keyboards/etc to make sure they are ready to be test driven. Polished, string changes, all done. This might be the exception to the rule, but it is the only store I know that has a Guitar Center sign out there. The CEO told me it is hard, with all the stores, to keep all the top knowledge guys employed. Keep in mind, they own more than one or two stores....there are hundreds. Yet, the CEO listened to me...the normal Joe. He is trying to fix things that he has seen personally and has read here. He truly is a man of the music and a musician's friend. How do I know....he has employees who play in bands on the Warped Tour and was like a proud father watching them. He sponsors a stage for them to play on and supports them 100%. He said and I quote this word for word "These guys have a dream of playing music and making a name for themselves in music, and I am here to support that for them...it is a risk on their part, but if I can help, I will." How cool is that. I know of the complaints, but keep in mind, he is working on them and Big Poppa is helping. So, let's cut him a break and let him do what he needs to do. Not everyone will be satisfied, but I think the majority will be. This is not an overnight fix peeps....it will take time. I got nothing but good vibes about him and I think he is more than sincere. He does not post here (as far as I know) and with that said, he can't defend himself. Let's try to keep our minds open and let him do his work to help us. Again, I applaud him for his passion of music and wanting people to be happy. Rant over.
