What you have there, good sir, is a beautiful example of honeyburst - and indeed, I am a fan and also an owner of a honeyburst Stingray 5, although mine has the black pickguard and pickup. I'll soon be replacing that with a tort guard, though.

As far as the truss rod goes, it's a simple and easy to use adjustment. At the junction of the neck and body on the front, you'll notice a small wheel-like device tucked away in a cavity. This is the adjustment wheel. No tools needed, no covers to remove, no long years of experience necessary. If you need less relief (tighten the rod and flatten the neck), insert a small screwdriver into one of the many holes on the wheel and turn it to the right (as you're facing the instrument). For more relief (loosen the rod and add more relief), turn it to the left.

How easy is that? BTW, welcome to the forum and you have excellent taste in basses. Not sure I'd like a black pearloid guard on that bass of yours, but you can order them from any MM dealer...where are you? Maybe one of us will know a dealer in your area.

thanks for your helpful reply, Senior Jack ~ ^___^

i am in Taiwan, Asia.
i try to contact my local MM dealer, but the answer is sadness.
They don't have any optional accessories to offer customer now.
they're s*ck ~~ so sad.

i think i better try to purchase the new pickguard directly from U.S. dealer or from internet

Beside black-pearloid, tort guard is a great choice too. ^___^

btw, i just saw the picture of your StingRay collection.
Wow ~~~ they look so great !
