that's true, I bought a macintoch but that's not the thing...:D

it is many many years that I play only HSS guitars, as a strat'fan, I need a very good single coil in the neck position, and a screamin' humbucker in brigde...I love using intermediate positions too, that's why nothing else was better than a HSS to me...

I used the luke, then the silo but something very strange happend to me...

MM france sent me this wonderful axis SS prenium top for the french tour, and I first used it only on stage , playing europa... (like this : http://www.tristanklein.com/videos/axis_super_sport.wmv )

I came back home with all the guitars and sent them the back to paris, exepct the axis SS ; just wanted to take it out of the case sometimes, just to watch this beautiful top...

but after a while, I had to record a song for a particular project...and after playin' all my guitars, I couldn't find the TONE that was in my head...

took the axis SS and it was all here !!! the song was recorder very very fast, and I was very happy with the tone AND the neck...but you know, the guitar is precious, I didn't want to use it that much, so it came back in the case...

the day after, nothing to do with my HSS anymore...the TONE and the NECK of the axis were in my memory as the best thing I've never heard and played....ans the out ot phase positions were just incredible single coils sounds too ...

so I opened the case, and it's 15 days it did not came back in...

is sounds so WARM and plays so EASY !!!!!!!

I thank the luke was the best guitar ever, and I still do...then I felt in love with the silo...

Now I think the axis SS is ...MAGIC !!!!!!!

thank you guys at MM for making guitars better than each other...

now I want to try an silo 20 th, to hear another HH MAGICAL ;)

hey...it's my longest post here...hope the english was not too bad :D

I've never seen this inscription "CUSTOM" under the logo ...is it because of the prenium quilt ?

The Axis SS has this quality... it grows on you! :) I find myself gravitating towards the Axis a lot more frequently than my other guitars.

And please, stop posting pics of your Axis... the avatar is already too much... can't ressist... I GOTTA GET MYSELF A SECOND ONE!!! :D :D :D

Aluminum or tin? I hear tin is heavier and has great sustain, although it can be a bit dull sounding if you don't get the right piece. On the other hand, aluminum is lighter and more resonant, but the string has to be taped on to the can as it doesn't lend itself well to gluing.

so how do I get one of these ???

You order a new guitar with a premium top (designate flame or quilt). Your choices are Axis, Axis SS, Y2D and....and......I think that's it for now. Am I right guys?
