could you at least tip your cap as to how many pickups it will have? we could go wild from there, even though i'm guessing it will only be 1... :)

A Heinz Bongo!!!

A Heinz Bongo would be epic but would, I fear, take away from the Majesty That Is The One and True Heinz, and no one I know wants to be involved in that sort of business. Heinz is what he is. No one should try to ride those coattails, least of all me.

Craig Y has a very Cool Thing but still refuses to give it up to me, and let's face it, if anyone should have The Cool Thing, that would be me. So that one's off the table - for now. We will probably revisit The Cool Thing in the future, a future which likely involves me berating Mister Young for keeping a Dargie beyond its due date (the olives turn brown) and being generally Craig-like. Have you seen his hair?

But yes, the deal is done. A new bass I shall have! Know ye this: it will have more than one pickup, I'm almost certain.

And it will look fast. Very fast.

It's martini time now, ladies.

If I didn't know better I'd say that sounds like a Mr. Horsepower Big Al.

That would be truly awesome. Ain't gonna happen, though.

I still vote Reflex, possibly in a speedy color that may be added to the palette at NAMM.

It's the new prototype Music Man electric baritone balalaika, folks. I've already seen it. It's a semi-fretless in Staphylococcus Aureus Gold.
