Picked up the new bass and it feels sooooo right. The neck is just perfect. I have a feeling this is the one. Reminds me of the SC/H Bongo I started with except it has THE tone I've been looking for. I'm not gonna worry about not having the low B and just go with it.

Pictues to come when I get a chance.

I hear ya maddog...I've been playing my Bongo 4HH and the 5ers are kinda gathering dust. I really like playing 5s but for some strange reason I'm having more fun with the 4s now. Think I'm going to try to trade one of the fives for a 4H  .

I bought a 5'er about 2 years ago and wrestled with it about 2 months. Went into GC and picked up a 4 banger and was instatly converted back. The 5'er went up for auction. Haven't looked back my friend...........:D

I've realized that I am a 4 banger kind of guy as well. Nice to have a sweet 5er around but its the 4 that gets the lovin usually.

What the hell is is this 5 something or other I hear about?

Kidding aside, I got small hands. And I got to learn 4 before I go to 5.
I've been learning for years!

Funny you say that. I've got big hands, which is the main reason I can not get comfortable with a 5 - the strings are way too close together for me.

Another vote here...
Ever since I got my Bongo 4, my SR5 ended up on the back seat.
I love it, and would never sell it, always take it out on a gig, but 90% of the time
I am using the 4 banger... would be curious to try a bongo 5 though...

Fivers don't really appeal to me either... I may give the Sterling 5 a look when it come out, but nothing about 5 strings grabs me! I can do everything I want with a 4 - may need to tune it down to D occasionally but it's no biggie. Detuner could sort that easily.

Plus I'm in love with the neck of my Sterling - don't think I could go back to any different sort of neck now!

Cept that all makes me a 4-banger kind of gal :D (rather than guy, of course) :)

I agree Mark. I don't have meat hooks but my fingers are long and skinny and it's really uncomfortable for me if the string spacing is too tight.....
