So recently I ordered in a Jimmy Page tele. Once I got it home I was very disappointed. There was all sorts of noise, and initially I thought maybe it's the single coils. I didn't have this problem with a previously owned tele, but it was nasty. Then I found I had sound even with the volume off, tone did very little, so there was clearly some bad wiring. So I returned it. At that price I'm paying for higher quality and finishing and if you can't solder it correctly, and I don't know maybe plug it in, I can't be bothered. Not even I have made that mistake with my noob soldering over the years.

Years ago I owned a JP6 which I had to sell to fund a move. But I still missed that guitar, and I want to buy something where I feel the quality and finishing are worth it. So in my browsing I found a 7 String tiger eye. The store sent a few pics that looked good. But when it arrived it had more than a few blemishes. Sadly I couldn't justify the price with the damage to the finish, and they couldn't really move much more in price since it had been such an expensive guitar new. There was one on the front that looked like a black spot, and you could feel the dent. I think they tried to fix it by buffing it out. Oh well, keep looking I guess.
