I visited my local EBMM dealer today. First of all I was investigating possibilities of testing 25th, but unfortunately it will be no more available in my country!

After that I decided to test one more time nice blue Bongo 5 HSp and compare it with 2009. SR5 Hp maple FB Tobacco Burst!

My dear friends, after just several minutes I completely cooled from Bongo (sorry all Bongoloids ) and discover again the roots of classic alnico + piezo tone on beautiful ash body and fantastic maple FB neck!

Test was done on small Ampeg Combo 15" + Hf!

I fell in love again with Stingray! I will not sleep tonight for sure!

Just one bad cell phone photo of this SR5 Hp hanging in right of this Sterling:



Gee..., what a tone, preamp all in center and piezo pot in center too, switch to parallel, ...and that's it, tone killer, slap killer...damn how good it works, only neck is little bit wider than my Sterling's, but it's very comfortable to play anyway!

By the way, ...I took catalog of Levy's straps to make an order soon, I think I'll take something of 3 1/2" or even maybe 4 1/2" bass straps!
Me and owner (general importer) were talking about the new Reflex models and he promise me complete info after music show he is going to visit soon!
We were also talking about Coated EB strings and have a promise for the best price when I buy a set!

OK, I've been there yesterday again, ordered Levy's MSS2-4-BLK 4 1/2 " wide garment leather bass strap with foam padding and garment leather backing!

Also I bought EB Wonder Wipes, have treated my maple fretboard and also back side of the unfinished neck!
When dried and polish, it looks little bit darker, cleaner and wood stripes/grain are more visible, ...look, touch and feeling is just beautiful!

Of course I tried one more time beautiful SR 5 Hp, talked with dealer and I could get 25% discount..., man I'm seriously considering to buy this baby!



What do ya think guys? Serial start with E..... something, it's 2009. model?

P.S. ...the boss/chief dealer/importer returns from NAMM after 19th Jan. and will talk about him again, he promised me also whole report about future Reflex model, so if will be available Reflex Hp model I'll wait for a while to get one, well I suppose

I need to try these Wonder Wipes one of these days. Presently I use Pledge to clean my fingerboards and only very rarely. I kinda like the look of a grimy maple board
