So, do I
1. Pick up a lesser expensive Sterling By Music Man as a second bass. I would string that one with flats and keep rounds on my "real" Sterling. I would use the one with flats for my classic rock gigs and for the kid's demos I do.
2. Save my money and start saving for a Bongo. I would need to save for about 10 months (I did some budgeting). Maybe look into getting a really cheap used bass for the kids demos.![]()
Get the Bongo, clearly!
I love both my basses, especially the Bongo, but that doesn't stop me from taking it to work. I don't neccesarily enjoy watching my bass being chewed on, but it sounds great and plays great, and I enjoy having it around.
Get a Bongo.
