Hi and welcome.
It's a bit difficult for me to measure at the 1st fret with the stings on , but a lot easier at the 12th.

1st fret = 22mm
12 th fret 23mm
Spud

Can someone please do the same measurements for me at the Silhouette Special neck (thickness)!? I need to choose a neckprofile for a DIY project and I'm not quite sure about the thickness yet...

jpx-6 re neck thickness at the first fret and thickness at the twelfth fret.

(EBMM Customer Service)

Measurements will vary slightly from guitar to guitar as they are sanded by hand. I just measured one off the line and here's what i found:

Right at the first fret its .735"
right at the twelfth fret its .835"

JPX 6: 1-11/16" (43.0 mm) at nut, 2-1/4" (57.2 mm) at last fret

Anyone who might have one care to get a JPXI 6 and 7 in here? Once I have some time, I will put together some type sort of easy to read chart comparison with the dimensions of what was posted already.

Hi guys i need help from you.Three month ago a part of my house is burned down and the fire damaged my jp6 bfr expecially the neck that cannot be repaired. I asked to EBMM how much cost to have a new neck and after i've got the answer i realized that i cannot afford a new neck. My luthier can make a good replica of the neck for less money and faster(i live in italy) but i need the neck profile of a JP6 so if someone would be so kind to take that for me it would be nice. Thanks for help!

I'm sorry to hear the news about the fire. I guess insurance will not cover the replacement neck from EBMM? I have a JP6 but I don't have a neck profile gauge. I could take a ruler and get an estimate for you. It would be more accurate with one of those neck gauges however. What are you looking for, 1st and 12th fret neck depth, or width too? I think EBMM lists the neck widths on the site, but thickness you'd have to go another route. Have you tried contacting EBMM customer service? they 'might' give this to you..

I'm not sure that MM would provide any info to help someone copy the specs of a neck. Perhaps you could find someone in your neck of the woods with a JP6? Then have your luthier make his own measurements.

Fwiw, the neck replacement costs aren't unreasonable. I'd think it was well worth getting a factory neck. Might seem like a lot now, but in the long run you'd probably be happier. (And, of course, the guitar would have a higher resale value.)

I would rather spend a few extra bucks to have the real deal ebmm neck made. I agree with Beej about the resale value, plus your guitar will still be an ebmm instead of a mutt. You can save on shipping if you only ship the neck, not the whole guitar.

I would get it from Music Man as well. You know exactly what you are getting...
