I know it's better to replace the original with one from MM but it cost like a used jp6,in Italy it costs around 1400$

Yikes - that is alot more than I thought it'd be. If I bought a neck from ebmm it would be less than half of that figure.
Is that because Italy adds on for import fees?

Good idea - we need some updates to this thread.

we need more necks!! :D
Majesty, Armada, St. Vincent, StingRay, Cutlass (ok the first two would be a good start) - assuming that all the new JP and Luke models are similar to what we already have, otherwise it would be much more missing... JPX, JPXI, JP12, JP13, JP15, LIII... do we have a Reflex/GC already? I doubt...

Bump for a good cause!

Also - I love my AL neck and I may be ordering a neck for a different guitar and I would like to match it as closely to my AL neck as possible. Does any one know any of the following:

1. What size fret wire does the AL have? I know it says high profile medium width - but what is that in fret gauge? 6130? 6105?
2. What is the closest to a traditional neck profile that the AL has? For example, is it closest to a "modern C" or a traditional "U" shape? What is it???
3. What about the thickness? Is it close to .9"? More? Less?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks :)

1) no idea

2) difficult... I´d say similiar to a C like on a C shaped Strat, a little rounder/with a bit more meat on the shoulders and a bit narrower (my 60s style Strat has 42 mm at the nut, AL has 41 mm)

3) my AL has:
1st fret 21.5 mm
5th fret: 22 mm
12th fret: 24 mm
(sorry, no inches but .9" = 22.86 mm ;) )

I measured with strings and subtracted 2.5 mm for strings and frets, which I measured too

These are the ALs we have in this thread.
On the first one somehow it seems to me it has a little bit of an U at the nut, tend towards a C on the 5th and has slighty a V on the 12th fret

The others are rounder, more C-shaped

The last one (Dargie) looks a little thin on the 12th fret but this are nuances

Is it possible to get the profile photos back? I'm looking for AL info but thanks to Photobucket, I can't see anything that was posted previously.....:(
