I need a fret job really really bad

If i sent it to EBMM would they install them in it since they now offer SS frets in the Petrucci models??

As I recall, MM will only install stock items (frets, necks, etc...) that your guitar came with originally. So, I guess the answer would be no. There are plenty of good luthiers out there that will install SS frets and plek too.

The real answer is to contact customer service and ask them.

Although in the past, they have always said that they will only replace the frets with what originally came with the guitar, if at some point they decided to change that policy, only they would be able to tell you.

Got my Axis back from a refret with SS & Plek. Money well spent, IMO.

Mega bucks i bet..
$360 + shipping to/from Baltimore. Since I expect to pay about $300 for a nickel-silver refret, I don't think that's bad at all. IMO it's money well spent, given the smoother bends and much longer fret life.

That's not bad at all. May I ask who you sent the guitar to? I live near Baltimore and have been looking for a good repair tech who doesn't charge and ungodly amount.
