heh

I'm just glad to see that I'm not the only insane one that obsesses over gear like that.. I really thought I was the only one!!.. Seriously everyone else I meet just throws their bass at the drummer or whatever.. then again.. they don't have a musicman and the drummer deffinently deserves it.

If it makes you feel any better.. I put my beautifully made (Australian:) ) Maton guitar on the stand one night.. a fair while ago.. and I went to work at my desk.. and when I finished working rolled the chair I was sitting at backwards and *CRACK* I turned around.. and there was a huge dent in the front of my maton  :( I cried for days (inside atleast) .. I dunno you might get over it.. I still cringe every time I look at it.. but no more stands for me.. everything goes straight back in it's case after it's been used..

Oh and also.. I burnt a hole in that desk that I was sitting @ with a soldering iron last night when I was soldering a pre amp.. I am still crying (inside atleast LOL) about that.. :( I love that desk..

Hope that makes you feel better,

If not.. sell the bass and buy a new one.. heh.. Thats what I always considering doing everytime I see a scratch LOL.. I'm an idiot I know

C-Monk..braces and a Shure... excellent mental picture to brighten any day ;)
Randy... your buddy is a trooper but dude...that much leaking and no ice or skates or pucks involved?? seems almost a waste :p
and ALva, absolutely my condolences BUT the best is this, my functional but not the best double gig bag has nicely worn off the finish from the tip of my Buttercream fretless Bongo, definitely not impressed but at the same time oh well, I'm sure the kids will ding it up when they get to playing it in a decade or so :D

You let kids touch your gear? Better man than I.

I took all his toys away for touching the stand.

Then I spent his college fund on liquor.

It's funny but over the 25 years I've had my one and only Stingray, it's been carted all over the world, gigged around, dropped, dinged occasionally and suffered a bit of wear ... and I hardly felt any pain at all until that terrible day, no more than a year ago, when I discovered what it would have been worth if it were still in perfect condition !!!

THEN I FELT PAIN ....

25 years worth all at once !!
