I wanted you guys to be the first to see this!
Fretpoint.com has released my first tuition package, and it's a real cool one:

'In the style of Andy Timmons'

I used my Silhouette special with a AT1 and Cruiser to get that super cool tone.

Andy Timmons played me Silhouette a couple of months ago, and to his astonishment he realised that the neck is exactly the same as his original AT100! I was blown away, I mean, it may have been a little different if you measured it, but it felt identical, I kid you not.

The package is awesome guys, seriously, I spent so much time and effort in getting it just right, it includes a full tuition break down video of the entire solo, the quality of the videos are amazing as they were recorded in full HD. It also includes two other performance videos in different angles, the backing track (which has real musicians on it!) mp3 of the track, and accurate tabs for the entire thing. $14.99 (approx £9.99) for hours upon hours of work!

I hope you guys like it :-S

Congrats Mike.... bet this is steaming just like your other work.

What do you call a long time as making this kind of thing ? Do you get the choice to choose what kind of tuition package you do or is it driven by a sponsor or whatever... I've no idea how this sort of thing comes about. Would be interested to learn.
You still got the Morse ? Know you were thinking of moving it on or changing colour or whatever

Cheers
Baz

Hey bazxkr, I probably spent over 100 on writing the material for this and recording the backing track, then another 50 hours recording, editing etc...

fretpoint.com basically hired me to write all of their tuition material, we have a satch package coming in a month, a rock basics course (huuugee package!) in a few months, and a bunch of real backing tracks (tracks made with musicians that I hire in for the job).

Basically they trust me with the material, I picked Timmons because I'm a fan and because there is nothing really in the market covering 'in the style of andy timmons' they give me a budget to work with, I have to hire musicians within that budget and make sure I pay myself too. This package is a real bargain.

I sold the morse to a very happy guy up the country, he loves it, I sold it to make room for a Suhr (just became a Suhr artist recently) but I still use my Silhouette special a lot and the Luke is getting a lot of studio use these days, it's probably the best recording guitar ever, at least for what I do anyway :)

Nice!! but you got a slight typo on that page when it comes to the pricing. At first it says $14.99 which is fine but directly below it you switched out the $ with a British pound sign (don't have it on my keyboard) on the line where it says 14.99 / approx. 9.99 GBP :)

Hi Mike - appologies for this question (in work and certain sites are blocked)

Is it just a downloadable lesson or is it available on DVD?

Just that my preference is a DVD rather than a download.

My son is asking me what I want for Crimbo and a "hard" product would be preferential to a "virtual" one - which would be difficult to wrap lol
