Where may I find a current list of options/colors

I know EBMM does not offer a true custom shop (I am sure its not cost effective), however- I'd kill to have another Axis... but perhaps a hybrid of SS and Floyd features.

I think it'd be bad ass to have a Floyd Equipted Axis with a 5 way, NO TONE knob. As much as I'd love black/maple/black... I'd KILL to get a Cadillac Pearl White Axis... if they offered it.

Alas... I will probably just have to buy a black one and customize it to be more like my SS. :(

Thanks! Great forum.

:D

Well EBMM is already offering tones of options, as you said you will have to customize your self

Not a big deal as you can split the Axis PUP, remove the pip selector replace it with a 5 way selector a la PRS and you are ther my friend :)

Anyway welcome here :)

EBMM has what...100,000 or so configurations. They have told us the number. I just know that it's huge.

I find modding EBMMs to be exactly what I want to be a very rewarding experience. Yes it can cost a little bit of money and it might be risky. So what if it de-values the guitar. I'm not buying them to resell them anyway.

If you get exactly what you want then hopefully you will be happy.

Get an Axis, split the coils. Then rock out till you smile so hard that your face hurts. Then put some pictures up here and tell us what you think.

Dayum! over 100,000 and still we peeps want more! I guess I'm just thankful that I can't find enough time to play.

I love my EBMMs

The only thing that would make my Music Man more to my liking would be stainless steel frets. My stratagy is to play it continuously until it needs a refret and then go with stainless. I've got a similar plan for my JP when it gets here.

Stainless frets are much slicker. In my opinion they are much better for bending strings on plus they last much longer than nickel alloy frets.

I really don't get it! There's probably no other company that offers SO MUCH options on regular production models like EB. Pickups, wood, bridges, tons of finishes, etc. Yet, that's still not enough! No hard feelings, but that's just plain rude.

Granted this IS the EBMM forum.. and with all due respect- perhaps its the drastically out of date Musicman website... but how are there 100,000 options for an Axis?

I doubt there are 100,000 options for the entire fleet of EBMM guitars and basses. Am I missing something? Really not trying to be a jerk, I swear.

It is so hard to find anything information on anything as far as options go.

The Floyd and SS pickups are the same??

Absolutely they are NOT. Or have I missed something?? Do they have different pickup heights? Is the spacing the same on both? I would suspect not, as the neck on the floyd guitar is different as well.

As far as the vast number of Axis' (axi?) I have played, sold to clients (when I did that), owned, etc.. it always appeared to me that the Floyd guitar had higher output pickups. Is it how its wired (3 way vs 5 way?). Compare them- try them. You'll see the same.

What would you say if you wanted to be a jerk?

BP wouldn't lie about that

I guess I wont read into it too much. Perhaps I missed the sarcasm and dont want to be Mr. Serious. lol.

Does anyone know where I could get an updated options list?

I think the ernie ball webpage has it, but then again you have probably already checked there. Maybe you could ask one of the dealers around here. Where are you located?

And no hard feelings man
