id go the opposite route. id want a "beater" type guitar:

super simple
just 1 pup at the bridge; choice of hum or mm90 - coil split switch for hum
tone, volume knobs
interesting shape for the pickguard
available in trans black & trans white
non-matching headstock

a JP BFR in purple sunset finish, with ebony fretboard and the neckshape of the Y2D, but still 24 frets.
and the same as a hardtail version (incl. piezo)!

With purple backlit LED sheild inlays (ala Bad Horsie) hooked up to a variable pattern control like Christmas lights (solid/pulse/flash etc) :)

OK Kids Please understand if I dont participate in this thread....Knock your selves out though!

No worries BP, we all know this is heading for a shut down by the mods sooner or later. Somewhere around page 4 or 5 someone is going to ask for a forum only guitar and we all know it goes down hill from there...

Screw it, who needs to wait till page 4 or 5... what if we got 50 people to agree on 1 guitar? Do you think EBMM would make a "knucklehead" guitar... haha, just kidding... no seriously... maybe... pigs did fly and Pink Floyd reunited with Mr Waters... VH with DLR... please? haha... nah, forget it... I don't like sparkle guitars anyway...

you know, actually... if EBMM offered the BFR Rosewood neck option again (all models like last time) I would jump on a silo spec or an Axis. Hell, even if they just offered it as an additional upgrade to the current BFR line up that would be golden.

A mod for my LUKE-

Throw a switch that would split the bridge pickup and it would sound so twangy that anyone within earshot would have a hankerin' fer grits and sowbelly ;) :D

Otherwise,my LUKE KILLS!!!!

Well, since we're dreaming, I'd probably go with something like this:

Luke body shape with all mahogany body, rosewood neck, ebony fretboard, and MM trem. Axis Super Sport humbucker pups with 5-way switch (maybe 25th switching, maybe gamechanger), 1 vol., 1 tone. Top it off with a silver sparkle finish with blackburst edges. Strung with .10s.

I can think of a few guitars I'd sell to pay for that!

Ask me tomorrow, and it might change a little. ;)

my turn maybe

7 string luke shape with .. 2% body size increase?
jpx body woods with the chambering
plain maple top, clear natural finish with some light oils to make the wood a bit darker/slightly more orangey
poly finish
roasted maple neck, ebony fretboard
22 frets, 12" rad. bone nut
HSS - customized 7 string single SLV EMGs (oh god) and a seymour duncan blackout for bridge
7 string version of musicman trem
piezo? sure why not
gold hardware
and a little button on the side which activates a voice recording of my voice going "I can't believe I exist." which runs through the output into wahtever the guitars plugged into

thanks BP genie. I've got to go start putting obsolete guitars on ebay and melband :)

emg p90 ?

Nah.

LOVE the EMG 85 in the bridge for rock/metal.P90s don't really twang, though they have incredible clarity.I have another guitar that's heavy on the twang (listed below in my sig) and that's the only thing my LUKE is missing, imo. If the LUKE had that,no need for the twang guitar. Just my 2 pennies ;)

i have a EMG 89tw in the bridge which splits. it has a pretty cool twangy sound but ive no idea if its wht you want :p only pitfall with that is that i hate the regular humbucker sound of it haha.
