Hey, u talkin to me? NY
If a variation of the 25th could become an artist series model, who would be your top 3 artist choices for this awesome signature guitar?

Here are my top 3:

1. Zakk Wylde (with EMG 81 and 85 pickups)
2. The Edge
3. Nuno Bettencourt

Who are yours?

I think it should just stay the way it is. Many artists are digging it right now.

Joe Bonamassa is using this. If it had to be a siggy...I would go with Joe.

Other choices:

Ron Thal
Andy Timmons

Still...I like it to stay the Axis and let it stand on it's own.

koogs its not an axis......

how about John Mayer?

Fender will never let John Mayer get away from them...but i agree he is top notch and has really taken his blues playing seriously!.Live In LA should be in everbodys Blues Ray collection.

The only other artist i can think of for this would be .....ME:D.

Oh well worth a try.

I love Andy Timmons and John M and doubly love Zakk but I could see Joe B with it. Since he used to play LP's the single cut is right up his alley. I don't know the behind the the curtins stuff but he seems to enjoying the whole line of EBMM guitars. As I mentioned in another thread we should start a count of which ones he has been seen with on stage with.

It is important to note that EB does not throw sig models out to just any body. I mean compared to other brands they have almost no sig artists. What they do have is guys like Joe and Blues who enjoy the brand and use all the guitars as tools (almost like artist use diff brushes) to make the art in their head come to our ears.

John Mayer
Joe Bonamassa
Larry Carleton
Robben Ford

and though he doesn't do signatures, I think the Edge would love it!

I really think Smokin' Joe Bonamassa would be the obvious choice... Strange how people tend to associate him with the Les Paul as I always prefered his Strat musings... I truly believe the 25th would be the one guitar to fill both Stratty and Pauly shoes for Joe - an obvious signature artist if there ever was one!

Cheers

Same here.

and I agree the 25th would take care of his LP cravings.

I agree, really shows you he is not some a-hole pop star, he does what he loves (he just became a pop star first so he could have that freedom now)

I think Buckethead would be a good choice as his main axe is a chambered body LP. But he has stated he will never have a signature guitar, thats not what he's about, but I would still love it.
