When I saw Fogerty last month, he played what looked like a modified JP for about 1/3 of the songs. He does still play Les Pauls for most of his numbers.

if it became a signature model then maybe it wouldn't get the attention it's getting from so many high profile players right now. If another high profile artist joined the EBMM family it would no doubt result in another new cool model.

Hey, u talkin to me? NY

That's why I had stated that it would be a variation of the 25th. not the actual limited 25th. guitar (the way it is today). So, it would be a variation of the 25th. with a few of the selected artists' specs.

I think that based on everyone's feedback it would come down to the following three artists:

1. Joe Bonamassa (the most logical choice but based on my research still uses the other name brand guitars especially the ones staring with a G)

2. John Mayer (as recommended by BP and a few others, although in my opinion a great guitarist, songwriter and singer not who I would think would fit in with the current EBMM signature series greats)

3. Andy Timmons (I forgot how amazing this guy is and I think that he will truly be a great fit with the existing EBMM signature series artist - time for him to leave Ibanez and join the family!)

I could totally see it, the way it is now, as something the Edge would use. I can see how it has that kind of "U2 vibe" and even tone to it... but on the other hand it almost seems like a version of the 25th as a "Signature Artist Model" could type cast the guitar into that respective artists tone range. For example, many people associate the Axis with EVH's tone and rightfully so... but the Axis and its siblings (Sport and SS) can do so many different things beyond the EVH thing that its is almost sicking. Its almost as if the guitar got better when EVH's signature was taken off the headstock. Think about it, would we have ever seen the Sport or Super Sport?

I agree with BP, though the shape is similar to the Axis it is a different beast all together. I wonder how many people see it and assume it is an Axis and don't give it a 2nd look? Would that happen with an Artist version? who knows...

However, I see what Slav is saying and I would love to see what different artists would bring to the 25th.... maybe there is a way to improve on perfection.

Could be a cool thing to have an Limited Artist Edition for the non-sig guitars ?

Like the annual LE theme, but with the guitar spec'd & coloured per the chosen artist's preferences.

Could even apply to some of the sig models too, like what BP has done with the AL ?

If I can't get the free guitars, then it doesn't matter to me who does. I'm sure there are a million great players.
